News & Announcements

  • School Board Meeting - April 8, 2025

    6:00 p.m. - School Board Meeting

    Agenda

Location:  Dixie County Middle-High School Cafeteria, 17924 SE Highway 19, Cross City, FL

  • Instructional Materials Adoption

  • Middle School Sports Update

FHSAA requires member schools to follow existing and newly created bylaws.  In order to maintain membership status, only students assigned to Dixie County Middle-High School will be eligible to participate in school sporting events.  This will become effective for the 2025-2026 school year.  We are fortunate to have a strong recreational sports program in our county, as well as, the availability to join other athletic programs in the tri-county area.  Our hope is that fifth and sixth grade students who are not eligible to participate at DCMHS will utilize the above resources to continue their athletic endeavors.  Please continue to check this page for updated information.

  • 2024-2025 Preschool Programs

  • Electrocardiogram Screening

Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) is the leading cause of death on school campuses – more than any form of cancer, concussion or illness combined. Thousands of seemingly healthy kids die every year due to detectable heart conditions.

That’s why Dixie District Schools is thrilled to announce that we’ve partnered with Who We Play For to provide our youth the opportunity to get their heart checked with an electrocardiogram (ECG). The FREE heart screening will take place on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at DCMHS and AES. Screenings will take place at OTES on December 5, 2024.

Every student ages 10 and up can sign up for a screening by filling out the consent form sent home by the school.
